All of the ImPOS functions have been designed with one thing in mind - SPEED! So while the system is as high-tech and smart as it is, the one major advantage over any other Point of Sale (POS) system on the market is the speed in which you can use it due to using the latest in software platforms but also the intuitive menu design that is unique to ImPOS.
Front of House features
ImPOS menu design is based on having sub-lists and items within a sub-list. As quick as you can press buttons is the speed at which an order can be done, ImPOS NEVER slows down enabling fast based bars to spend less time waiting for orders to appear and more time taking money. Using simple "drag and drop" features in the back office allows for extremely fast menu creation.
"Industry feedback was used from the onset to develop a fully functional table layout feature." ImPOS Technical Director, Paul Chiu. Unlike most systems where you may find it difficult or impossible to change the layout of your floor plan, ImPOS' layout can be changed extremely quickly, whether it is deleting and adding in new tables or just moving a few tables around to suit a particular function. You even have the ability to save multiple different layouts and load them on demand, again great for functions and regular events.
One-touch key features include:
Table positioning / Table floor plan
Transfer table to TAB
Front end instant reporting
You are not constrained with resetting your system or being defined to report from one period to the next. You select the date and times that you wish to generate a report and the thermal printer instantly prints them out. Ideal for a quick snap shot of what is happening in the venue and takes less than a few seconds to have the reports in your hand!

Back of House features
"Having succeeded so well with speed on the front end, we designed our back office to be so user friendly most people can figure it out themselves." ImPOS Technical Director, Paul Chiu. Saving an item into ImPOS is very fast and straightforward. To put that item on the screen involves selecting the item and dragging it into the desired position. Multiple menu designs can be managed from the one screen ensuring speed on the front end. A few features within Back office...
Instant search function
Edit existing items
Assign to departments
Up to fifteen different price levels per item

Most POS systems will allow you to allocate modifiers for an item ImPOS allows you to set values for the modifiers picked within a list which is effective for venues that serve mains with a selection of two side dishes for example - this way the staff can't select a main without selecting two side dishes.
Using the Auto Modifier feature you can allocate what items are to be included for a particular dish. This function was developed for "Wrap it Fresh" venue so that the staff know the quantities of each modifier for make up an item each time the item is selected.
ImPOS define buttons page is completely graphical - there is no reference to PLU numbers, columns or rows, what you design is what you get and it is all designed by selecting what you want and dragging into position. All changes are instantly updated to the terminals with no need for restarting the programs. Define buttons is also used to configure the layout of ImPDA. From the define buttons screen you can define anything that is required to be on the screen including:
Multiple menu lists can be access from the define buttons screen ensuring flexibility and speed on every transaction.
Managing different layouts within ImPOS is easily achieved. You have the ability to save away as many layout designs as you want, e.g. weekend/weekday or function A, B, C etc. and load a layout at any given time. Different areas within the venue can be setup with floor plan layouts/images sitting underneath the tables to familarise staff with the table positions.
Time based Rules
Defining price changes based on time is made quick and easy. With the flexibility of 15 different price levels per item allow multiple different price changes effortlessly.
Setting up users/employees
Each user or employee can be defined to a particular department thus enabling a cost vs. department report to be created with an hourly rate defined per employee. Smart Codes (wrist bands, swipe cards etc.) can be allocated to each employee for added security. Up to 100 different authorities levels can be defined when entering or editing an employee's attributes. This enables the administrator to lock an employee out of a particular function such as voiding or refunding.
Messages can be sent to employees instantly or setup so that the message appears on screen at a particular date/time in the future. When the message is read it records this with the date and time that they employee has read the message. This feature was designed to assist with communication within the business e.g. rostering or reminding employees of upcoming events/promotions.
Defining an account is fast and easy with full account transaction reporting details available. Payment method is defined by the user so as to ensure flexibility and customization to your needs e.g. bartercard.
Multiple different stock items can be assigned to a product with the flexibility of allowing up to five different sizes. This makes it fast to assign a Pot, Schooner, 6 oz or Glass for differing tap beers for example. Setting par-levels at minimum and maximum automatically creates order reports on what is required to ensure your stock is at the set desirable level. It is up to you if you want to monitor all inventory items or just a select few making the process simple.
Inventory reports available:
Stock take - used for doing manual stock takes

Want to speed up the ordering process and manage outside areas with ease? Increasing speed of service with the use of IMPDA directly results in faster table turnover and higher customer satisfaction. Best of all, ALL ImPOS customers that have installed ImPDA are running their venues with less staff every week! Years ago wireless technology was unreliable for use in such situations as table ordering. Now with purpose designed PDA's such as the Symbol MC50 and stronger reliable signal strength wireless technology is the way forward. ImPDA is smart enough to know that when signal strength is stronger from one wireless transmitter it will instantly swap over with no loss of data. Directly from ImPDA users can select from five course groupings and selecting an entrée as main automatically prints it into the mains section on the kitchen docket. The industrial casing and strong signal strength ensure durability and endless connectivity to send orders directly to kitchens or bar areas whilst saving directly to tables. Imagine eliminating the time it takes to manually write down orders and then enter these orders at the closest terminal as opposed to moving directly from one table to the next knowing that your orders are instantly sent and saved and are correct! Decreasing double handling of table orders will result in fewer mistakes and will therefore reduce food/drink wastages. Through the use of Auto-modifiers ImPDA ensures that users are prompted for any meal modifications, adjustments or up-sells. With more time to service customers and less time running around, an increase in sales and average spend per table will directly result, best of all this is all achievable with a reduction in labour expenses.

ImCARD - Membership Loyalty
ImPOS' membership and loyalty is flexible so it can be custom-made to suit your specific requirements for your particular venue.
The most straight forward loyalty scheme is a discount. Customers swipe their card to attain a discount with the idea being to recognise them as a valued member. You can define rules for discounts based on what the customer spend is. For example, when a customer joins they may be entitled to a 5% discount, spending $1000 then may attain a 10% discount etc.
For venues wanting to run multiple different membership cards to distinguish different levels of membership, the Upgrade Card is ideal. A card is upgraded based on spend limits that you set. Similar to the Discount Card except the user can be transferred to another card type which may have a different set of rules or even allow them to spend points as soon as they spend a certain amount.
ImCARD allows customers to charge or purse money to a card. This allows for faster transactions over the bar and also helps to ensure the loyalty of the customer to the venue. The administrator can define a set of rules for recharge so that it gives benefits in the form of a rebate or extra money when they charge with a certain amount of money. So you may setup a recharge rule to be $500 recharge receive a $50 rebate thus the customer receives $550 worth of value. Money on the card may be used in conjunction with other forms of payment, for example $2 on card can be used with $4 cash to purchase a $6 drink. Of course this is achievable FAST!
Using a points based loyalty rule customers attain points each time they spend. You can define how many points per dollar spent although this is usually set at $1 = 1 point. A separate rule then exists to convert the points into dollars for example 100 points may be equivalent to $5 worth of value.
